So yea.. Another Blog.. Another social network that won't let me input my RSS

It's a view that has flaws, but I like to think of each of the social sites as standalone communities. In that real life thing I usually have different things I talk about with different groups of people, with a little overlap. I've started treating sites the same, with each being a place to do different sorts of writing. In the end, you end up with less on each individual site, so the thing that bothers me is sites like myspace where I can't pull stuff OFF the site. I'll probably get around to a homepage someday where I try to aggregate a lot of the things I've posted different places.

There are a handful of sites syndicated onto LJ but it always seems like more like a discussion forum and less like a blog since the poster will inevitably tend to ignore the comments there in lieu of the ones on the actual blog...

Agreed. I would really like to tie a lot of my shit together, and Vox's inability to do so is kind of annoying and unmotivating. Then again, there are a lot of impressive features, so I'm fairly torn on the future of my own Vox site.

Livejournal, at least, allows you to connect a RSS feed to a livejournal account if you donate (once).

For that matter, where's the interaction between LJ and Vox?

This thing needs critical mass, and feeds and LJ connections would help it grow without adding a lot of overhead. Kind of a DUH moment, isn't it?
